Our skin is made up of two layers, the epidermis, the top layer we can feel and touch, and the dermis, the deep microscopic layer under our skin. Our skin consists of an extracellular matrix, made up of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, all vital for the skin’s elasticity and firmness, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and providing skin hydration.
